Education may be the most important choice you make for your child. Its value extends far beyond the classroom, shaping your child’s and your family’s experience over a lifetime. The Great Barrington Rudolf Steiner School’s one and only mission is to make Waldorf education available to as many children as possible. To explore your options, please call or make an appointment to come visit. We are committed to partnering with you to make a Steiner education possible for your family.
We encourage elementary school families whose financial circumstances fall outside the sliding scale income range (less than $30,000 to $110,000 per year) to apply for tuition support. Great Barrington Rudolf Steiner School uses a nationally recognized service, TADS, to process tuition support applications. TADS applies standardized criteria, including family income, assets, expenses and other circumstances such as family size, to determine to what extent each family needs support to pay for one year’s tuition. Over 50% of our families receive some form of tuition support. The Steiner School tuition support committee uses information from the TADS process to allocate resources. Multiple payment plans are available; please see our Annual Tuition Rates page for more information.
To apply for tuition support, please complete the required TADS forms (in the Financial Aid Assessment section of TADS.com) and submit all necessary documents directly to TADS, selecting Great Barrington Rudolf Steiner School.
The TADS Financial Aid Worksheet (below) is designed to help you prepare and gather all you’ll need to complete the application. For assistance in submitting these materials, please contact the TADS parent help line at (800) 477-8237, between the hours of 9am-9pm Eastern Standard Time. For general questions about the admissions or tuition support process, contact Admissions Director Robyn Coe at email@example.com or (413) 528-4015 ext. 106. For questions related to Steiner School tuition support policies or to request a personal tuition management meeting, contact Director of Finance and Operations Jeff Novick at firstname.lastname@example.org.
